Hotel Information and Other Notes!
Suggested Hotels are listed on the right side of your screen, with a link to their website.
*UPDATE* Unfortunately, The Marshall House has already booked, we are suggesting River Street Inn as an alternate.
We have a great group rate at River Street Inn, they will be holding rooms up to September 19th! Please book as soon as possible to take advantage of the great deal they are offering us!
Where to stay??
There are 3 locations we have selected for you, Statesboro, Savannah, and the Savannah Airport.
STATESBORO is the closest to the farm. It typically takes 20 minutes to drive there. For our guests who are planning to attend many of the wedding events and do not wish do drive a lot, this is the place for you. For guests who are coming from the Atlanta area, Statesboro is on your way to the farm. The Holiday Inn is brand new, so you'll be one of the first to enjoy all it has to offer! We have a group rate here, you can call or book online, if you book online use group code ETW
SAVANNAH is a little farther away (typically takes about 45 minutes to get there), however it is a wonderful city to visit. If you have never been this is a great opportunity to make a vacation out of your trip! We suggested 2 hotels in Savannah, River Street Inn and the Comfort Inn. If you are looking for the full historic Savannah experience, River Street Inn is located at the beginning of Savannah's Landmark Historic District. Wrapped around a central atrium, this five-story Historic Inn on Savannah's Riverfront is preserved to offer travelers a taste of yesterday with all the modern conveniences of today. There is also a complimentary Wine & Hors d'oeuvres Reception each evening from 5-7 pm. Experience Savannah at smaller price The Comfort Inn is in the same area, located inside the historic district of Savannah and within walking distance of famous River Street and the City Market.
SAVANNAH AIRPORT, for our guests flying in! Four Points by Sheraton is right next to the airport, and it's a quick drive either to the farm or into Savannah for a day of shopping.
Just a few things to consider:
Ladies, please consider that you will be walking on soft ground as well as some gravel; because of this we would suggest that you do not wear shoes with pointy hills (i.e. stilettos), these styles have a tendency to sink into the ground. Some alternatives you may consider are wedges or flats.
According to The Weather Channel, the average temperature should fall in the mid to high 70's. There is an average high of 78 and a low of 56. However it can get cooler as the sun goes down, because the wedding and reception are outside you may want to bring a sweater or shawl.
*We will update this information when the wedding is closer.
Those guest planning to attend the "Beach Party Bonfire", it will take place once the reception comes to an end. the bonfire will be very casual, so feel free to bring a change of clothes with you.
For additional questions please feel free to email me at MichaelAndreaWed.RSVP@gmail.com. I will do my best to get back to you in a timely fashion.

Wedding Party SPOTLIGHT... The Boys ....
KEVIN CARLISLE

Best Man
Friend of the Groom
Mike and Kevin have been friends since high school. They share an interest in music, for some of their stuff check out Brink.
www.myspace.com/musicbrink Kevin just moved to Denver with his 3 GREAT kids, Jeremiah, Ana, and Liam; and wonderful wife Aimee. Unfortunately, Kevin will be coming alone, we will miss the rest of the family and wish they were able to make it as well!
TREY LATIMER

Friend of the Groom
Mike and Trey have been friends for quite a long time, since they were both little guys, around age 5 maybe? and some how have managed to stay friends, even living on opposite sides of the US. This is easily done through the internet and video games ... however their multi-player sessions usually don't last long because Mike is a sore loser! :) [Trey SUCKS!! - Mike]
Trey will be joining us, from LA, with his wonderful girlfriend Sophia!
ROB SWIFT

Brother of the Groom
Mike and Rob met at an early age, like when Mike was born. As the oldest brother, Rob's responsibilities included torturing Mike and Sandy, driving us around, and videotaping the especially funny parts. He currently lives in Brooklet with his lovely wife Cheryl and the superhero Cambo (AKA "The Boy"). He also owns The Beast (he calls her Montana) and the Dagny dog and a bunch of cats.
JOSH EDWARDS

Brother of the Bride
Mike and Josh met shortly after him and Andrea started dating. Josh is such a great person with an uplifting spirit, he is always full of jokes and good times. I'm sure that he might be able to show you all some great dance moves too, like the sprinkler! Josh recently got out of the Army [hooray!] after 5 years. We are so glad to have him home for good. Him and his wife, Jo Beth, recently bought a home of there own! Congratulations!
Hope You all have sent your tux measurements in! (hint)

Bridal Party SPOTLIGHT... Jo Beth Edwards
Bridesmaid
Sister (In-Law) of the Bride
I have known Jo Beth for about 3 or 4 years now. She is married to my brother, Josh; poor girl :) [Their 2 year anniversary is coming up June 17th!] When her and Josh started dating, we became friends pretty quickly. She is such a strong, sweet, caring person. Plus she makes my brother happy, what else could you ask for in a new sister. Not only does she have big task taking care of my brother, she is also a nurse, so she cares for a lot of people.
Jo Beth will be joining us with my brother Josh, from North Carolina. They recently moved into their first house there, in Monroe, and are planning to start a family of their own. Congratulations on all your recent acheivements, and best of luck in the future.
I am so happy the you will be in my wedding and that you are in my family.
Thanks for everything sister!

Bridal Party SPOTLIGHT: Falon Patton
Bridesmaid
Friend of the Bride
Falon and I haven't known each other very long, but I feel like we've known each other for years!
We met about 2 years ago while working at Carmen! Carmen! Salon in Charlotte. She still works there and is a great stylist, if you need a cut!
The first time we hung out was probably one of the most memorable nights of my life, but that's a whole different story :)
In the short time Falon and I have known each other, we have had some really great times and developed a really amazing friendship. Sometimes I don't know what I'd do without her. I know I wouldn't have made it through some of those days at work with out her there. Sometimes we're like one of those weird couples that completes each others sentences ... weird.
Falon will be joining us from Charlotte (technically Shelby).
I look forward to her both entertaining me and keeping me sane through all of this!
Thanks Falon, what else can I say, you've become the GOAT*!

Bridal Party SPOTLIGHT... Ashley Brammer
Bridesmaid
Friend of the Bride
Ashley and I have known each other for quite some time. We met in 4th grade; we were in the same class at Lebanon Road Elementary School. The next year I moved away... to another school. We didn't see each other again for 4 or 5 years when we started attending the same high school. Some how we miraculously remembered each other. I mean I am pretty unforgettable :)
From then we became great friends! However once again, when we graduated, and Ashley went off to Chapel Hill, we lost touch. Then once Ashley was done at her fancy school, she came baack to Charlotte and I started doing her hair, then we 'rekindled' our friendship.
Ashley will be joining us with her new husband(as of Aug. 9) Scott Timmons. Scott and Ashley live in Matthews where they just puchased their first home together. Congratulations to the both of you!
Ashley has been a great friend and very supportive and helpful with my upcoming wedding. I'm sure that even after we are both married and live so far away that we will be able to continue our friendship.
Thanks Ashley and best of luck to you, on your wedding day!
We have a PHOTOGRAPHER!
Yay, someone to take our pictures!
Meet Bryan...
we are very excited about having Bryan as our Photographer. He has a wonderful portfolio and has been very helpful through out this search. I'd love to tell you more but I am sure he can do it better. So here are a few links that may interest you...

Bridal Party SPOTLIGHT... Erin Mae Spencer
Bride's Best Lady!
Best Friend to the Bride
Erin and I have known each other since high school. We also worked together at Outback Steakhouse, I got her the job!
Over the past 8 years or so we have been through a lot and remained friends, that's quite an accomplishment for girls, especially when begining their friendship in high school.
Erin and her fiance, TJ, will be joining us from the beautiful Hawaii. Aren't we all jealous. Though this is not were they are originally from; the two of them moved there this past November, and are having a great time during this journey.
Even considering the great distance between us right now, as well as the fact she is trying to plan a wedding of her own, Erin has been such a gret help through out this process and I am sure she will continue to do so.
Erin is so sweet and thoughtful, she's always up for anything, whether it be martini's or movies. She's quite the 'social lubricant' as well, she could get a party started anywhere. I'll be counting on her to ensure that everyone has a great time at the reception. So if you're bored find Erin!
Thanks for everything you are and all that you do, Miss Erin Mae!

Ceremony Musician
Lori Spencer (yes Miss Erin Mae's mom) is a wonderful 'jazz and finger style' guitarist. She has agreed to be our ceremony musician and we are so grateful.
You can listen to some great demos on her myspace.
Thanks Lori!

We have Food!!!
This weekend was successful! We officially have a caterer and baker.

We have chosen The New South Cafe to cater our reception. We are going with southern American style food, and have a delicious menu planned for everyone.

For those of you who know me, you know that cake is my favorite thing; besides Mike of course.
That being said, we have chosen Sonja Fishkind of The Art Cake Co to do our cake. You know if I approve it's gotta be good :)

The Begining
Hello All! Welcome to our Wedding Blog. Through out this planning process I will be periodically posting updates and intentions for the wedding. Here is some basic info including our current wedding plans and ideas ... which are subject to change without notification.
We are going for a very autumn harvest at the farm theme with a flair of rustic elegance! ... I don't even know if that makes since, so here are some pictures I hope will help...
We are planning the wedding in Brooklet GA (near Savannah). Mike's family lives on a beautiful 'farm' there, The Three Pines Farm. The date is set for October 11th of this year. Most likely late afternoon early evening.
The only thing we have right now is our bridal party:
Ladies > Erin Mae Spencer, Ashley Brammer, Jo Beth Edwards, and Falon Patton
Honorary Brides Maid > Miss Reili Williams and Flower Girl > Kaitlyn McClung
The Boys > Kevin Carlisle, Trey Lattimer, Rob Swift, and Josh Edwards
Ring Bearer > CAM-BO! :)
*disclaimer* I would like to apologize for any misspellings or improper grammar in my posts. I'm sorry but I am the product of a public school education :)
